Bohol is a island of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region, consisting of the island itself and other 75 minor surrounding islands.
I’m currently traveling in Asia for six months with a friend and at the the place I liked the most was Bohol, Philippines. The main reasons are that Bohol is very untouchable and pure, people are so friendly, beaches are beautiful and there’s plenty of stuff to do: dive, snorkel, go to the waterfalls, to the chocolate hills or just rent a bike and explore the island enjoying the landscape.
1. How did you hear about Bohol?
I was in Malaysia and some backpackers convinced me to go!
2. For how long did you stay there?
I stayed in Bohol for 9 nights and it was enough to see almost everything. However, I would love to stay longer.
3. How did you prepare yourself for this trip?
I planned to spend three weeks in the Philippinnes. I booked the flights to Manila and from Manila to Macau and when I was in Malaysia I decided to book the flight to Cebu and from there explore Bohol and Siquijor, another island.
4. Why did this place become so special to you?
It’s an incredible, pure and untouchable place, perfect to just chill out and enjoy the nature.
5. If you could come back but just go to a single place there… Which one would you choose? And why?
I would come back to Dubay Beach probably, a breathtaking white sand beach with blue and warm water.
6. Is there any hidden spot you would like to share with us?
Forget Alona beach and stay near Dubay beach it will be better to enjoy the local life.
7. Can you leave us some special places for staying, eating or visiting in Bohol?
I stayed at Coco Farm , an organic farm with bamboo bungalows. The food is superb and it is just fifteen minutes walking to the beach.
